My name is Marielle Isenhart. I am a third year Neuroscience major. I am interested in attending medical school and specializing in psychiatry. Mental health affects a lot of people and should be as well understood as other medical disciplines. Previously, I have taken Writing 1150 and a literature course. I enjoy English classes as an opportunity to explore a different discipline outside of area of study (which is fairly science based). A fun fact about me is that I have played the clarinet since the sixth grade. Music remains a very big part of my life. My working definition of a worldview is “a view that there are many forms of knowing that can be conveyed in various ways. Furthermore, the world has grown more connected as a result of globalization and technology and these forms of knowing, so we must be aware of other people’s perspectives.”
